What Is The Rally All About?

August 12th. & 13th. At Norwalk Raceway Park Norwalk, Ohio.

It’s about a special event that stands out from a regular car show or meet for owners of these special interest and limited edition auto’s. You will meet owners from all over United States and Canada that have the same pride in their Firehawk/Comp T/A as you do. You will see and learn from different members tips on performance, detailing, exchange idea’s & experiences. You will not see a greater number of Firehawks and Comp T/A’s gathered in one place than at the Rally.

The best part is that the Rally is in conjunction with the Ames Pontiac Performance Nationals (Ames Performance Tri Power Pontiac Nationals) The Nationals show alone is great draw with over 700 Pontiacs in both the Show & Racefield. Its an all around event Car Show, Drag Racing, Swap Meet, Car Corral, Vendors Pontiac Motorsports and Pontiac Concept Cars. This gives our attendees a chance to show and win trophies from both the Pontiac Nationals and the Firehawk/Comp T/A Associations. In other words you are attending two car shows at the same time. The only monies that you pay is to get in is to the Ames Pontiac Performance Nationals part of the show. If you are not a member of the FAOA or CTAOA you are more than welcome to join us. You do have to be a member but we do ask that your membership dues be current to be eligible for the trophies and door prizes from the Rally part of the show.

We have major prizes from leading vendors in the aftermarket automotive marketplace. We will just name few SLP, LS1 Motorsports, K&N, Zaino, Mac Products, Granatelli Motorsports, Nitrous Express & Ronal . All door prizes are awarded by the luck of the draw at random and the winner picks his/her prize so they are sure to get something they want. The same rules apply about being a member & dues to be eligible for the prizes. In past years most of our members went home with a prize from the FAOA/CTAOA. Chances of winning a prize or trophy form the FAOA/CTAOA are really great.

We give out our show trophies for 1st. & 2nd. Place for each year a Firehawk was produce. 1st., 2nd., & 3rd. For the Comp T/A/s. We give 1st.& 2nd. place for the Firehawk Drag Racing elimination’s and the same for the Comp T/A Drag Racing eliminations. A trophy for the member that drove his car the farthest to attend the Rally. Show Trophies will be awarded at 2:30 pm Sunday and elimination trophies will be awarded after the elimination‘s on Sunday weather permitting.

We have a informal Firehawk/Comp T/A on Saturday evening. Complete dinner details are explain within this newsletter or at our web-site or click on this link & reply form. There is a cutoff date in order to attend & purchase dinner tickets. The cutoff date is firm and no tickets will be sold at the Rally or Holiday Inn. The dinner is one of the highlights of the weekend. Reggie Harris (SLP) Jim Mattison (PHS) will attend and give presentations and answer your questions. Matt Bennett will lead the after dinner cruise though Sandusky. Both the Firehawk & Comp T/A Eliminations will be held Sunday Afternoon around 1:00 pm if weather permits. It’s a handicap elimination so a stock Firehawk or Comp T/A will have an equal chance against a modified Firehawk or Comp T/A

Each of our members will have a chance to do a few time trials down the track on either Saturday or Sunday morning for those that just want to see what their Firehawk/Comp T/A will turn in the 1/4 mile.

If you have any questions please call us at 724-437-6736 after 7:00 pm Eastern Time. Or email us at or visit our web site http://www.firehawk.org.

Thank You,

Wayne Thomas
